Telling compelling stories one frame at a time with movement, emotion, and excitement.
Waynesburg University’s Department of Communication
During my senior year of college, I began incorporating social media management of the department’s accounts and various promotional content creation into my regular duties as the student director of recruitment. One of my goals was to create a plethora of positive and appealing content that would dominate the forefront of our department’s social media platforms. With little more than my personal camera, skills, and creativity, I knew that in order to generate the most impact I had to gather the personal stories of our students and capture their appreciation of the department. I directed, shot, edited and published this piece on several of our department social platforms which launched campaigning for “Why WU Comm.?”
Greene County Tourism & Promotional Agency
This low budget, and by low I mean zero dollars, documentary-style production was a pleasure to direct, edit, and publish on behalf of Greene County’s destination marketing agency. After creating a “haunted tour” of the county and webpage prompting visitors to explore sites within “the most haunted county in America,” the tourism director and members of the board at Visit Greene suggested I create a video to further promote and explain the incentive. Employing another student to assist with the endeavor and shoot the footage, I directed the production and managed the editing in Adobe Premiere.
YMCA Camp Grady Spruce
This weekly highlight video is one of eight that I shot, edited, and published for YMCA Camp Grady Spruce of the Metropolitan of Dallas, TX during the summer of 2021. My position there challenged my creativity under the restriction of short deadlines and a busy schedule. It was a pleasure and privilege to capture the essence of summer camp through the lens, as it is a place I have grown to love to serve.
